7/4/2023 0 Comments Manga the apothecary diariesThis volume seems to be more of an introductory book so there’s nothing much other than getting to know the characters and the setting. I wonder if he’s going to be the love interest or if there will ever be romance in this series. There’s just so many questions about his character - Why is he close to consort Gyokuyo? Is it okay to hang around the Emperor’s favorite? And who is he and what is his position in the palace? The Emperor’s spy? What’s the point of fliritng with Maomao? Typically, he’s the type of character I like, yet somehow, Jinshi is pretty meh to me despite my rereads. Maomao is very indifferent to life or to anyone unless it involves making of medicine. A pharmacist in a historical setting? Sign me up. I can’t pinpoint exactly what made me interested, could be the setting or the main character. I was first introduced to this manga after reading a blog post at Al’s Manga Blog.

In a move reminiscent of the once-great series Heroes, which similarly continued with the production of its second season during the WGA's strike during 20, and as a result, faced an extreme drop in quality, the decision to do so is an unenviable one. 306 pages 22 cm After catching her husband cheating, teacher Jenna McKnight decides to make a new start in Auckland and answers an ad for a live-in nanny. A new body, a new city, and a new job later, shes done just that. With writers obviously playing a key part in the development of film and TV, one would think the decision to go ahead with production without them would be unwise (and one would be right), however, that hasn't stopped House of the Dragon from continuing to film Season 2 regardless. However, the first draft of the script for the upcoming Superman: Legacy, James Gunn's tent pole of his newly envisioned DCEU, was turned in last week, mere days before the strike began according to a report from The Wrap.įollowing weeks of discussion to renegotiate the contract between the WGA and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers which saw the latter refuse to agree to better pay terms, protection against the use of AI as a replacement for writers, and insurance for writers, many TV shows and films have halted production as the decision to strike was made. As the Writer's Guild of America begins their nationwide strike this week, many Hollywood productions have come to a halt. 7/4/2023 0 Comments Deon leonardstore on Monday November 2,2009 just published a book with coauthor Scotty Reiss in which he talks about the time he spent in prison. Actually she made googly eyes at Robin and allowed herself to be tied up (because that’s what the Bat boys are into). In the Marvel/DC crossover, she “fought” Robin. Though the larger world seemed as blind to Spain’s displaced population as they’d been to the war itself, the Chilean diplomat and poet Pablo Neruda lobbied to save over 2,000 of the refugees, as many as could fit on a nine-ton cargo ship called the Winnipeg, bound for political asylum. Many fled across the Pyrenees into France thinking they’d escaped the worst, only to find themselves behind barbed wire in concentration camps like Argèles-sur-Mer, “half-dead from cold and hunger.” In January of 1939, after three and a half years of devastating civil war, Francisco Franco defeated Spain’s Republican army at Barcelona, clinching a dictatorship that would last for nearly a half-century and displacing hundreds of thousands of soldiers, activists and Republican supporters. A LONG PETAL OF THE SEA By Isabel Allende 7/3/2023 0 Comments Clarity book kim harringtonAs psychic talents run in her family however, she always has the support of her mother and brother. Clare is very open and honest about her gift, even though she is ostracised by many of the other teenagers at her school. I really liked the paranormal element of the story and the fact that it’s not something which has to be concealed or kept secret. This definitely hooks the reader in and got me trying to guess who couldn’t be trusted throughout the story. Chapter two takes place nine days earlier and shows how events unfold up to the moment that Clare’s life is on the line. The opening scene is quite shocking and grabbed my interest immediately. The story focuses on her search for a young girl’s killer, whilst also trying to prove the innocence of her own brother Perry. Clarity “Clare” Fern is actually a psychic who only has to touch an object to see imprints and visions. ‘Clarity’ by Kim Harrington is like a modern-day Nancy Drew mystery but with a twist. |
